Refunds & Cancellations Policy – Mindful Yoga, Guanaba

At Mindful Yoga, Guanaba (operating within our integrated gym facility offering gym access and personal training), we aim to provide flexible, high-quality yoga classes that complement your overall fitness journey. All sales are final except as outlined below or as required by law.
1. General Policy – Change of Mind
Purchases of casual classes, class packs, memberships, workshops, courses, or introductory offers are generally non-refundable and non-transferable if you simply change your mind, are unable to attend, move away, experience a change in circumstances, or do not use the services. This includes unused classes or remaining membership periods.
We do not offer refunds, credits, or transfers for non-attendance, illness/injury (unless covered under section 4), or dissatisfaction unrelated to a major failure in service.
2. Cancellations & No-Shows – Individual Classes
- You may cancel or reschedule a booked yoga class free of charge up to 4–12 hours before the start time (check your booking confirmation or app for the exact window; we recommend at least 4 hours for group classes).
- Cancellations or reschedules with less than the required notice, or no-shows, will result in:
- Forfeiture of the class (no credit or refund).
- For unlimited/membership holders: a late cancellation/no-show fee of $15–$20 (charged to your account/card).
- Credits from valid cancellations are added back to your account and expire after [e.g., 6–12 months] unless otherwise stated.
3. Memberships & Pre-Paid Packs
- Memberships and multi-class packs are recurring or fixed-term commitments.
- You may cancel your membership at any time by providing written notice (email to [your email, e.g., [email protected]]).
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period (or after any minimum term if applicable).
- No pro-rata refunds are given for unused portions of memberships or packs upon cancellation (except as required by law).
- Early termination fees (if any) will only reflect our genuine costs and will be clearly disclosed in your membership agreement.
4. Medical or Exceptional Circumstances
If you are unable to continue due to a serious medical condition or injury (supported by a doctor’s certificate), we may, at our discretion:
- Offer a credit for unused classes/membership time, or
- Provide a partial refund (less any admin fee, e.g., $30–$50). Contact us promptly with documentation for consideration.
5. Our Obligations Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that cannot be lawfully excluded.
In particular:
- Our yoga services must be provided with due care and skill, be fit for any purpose made known to us, and delivered within a reasonable time (where applicable).
- If there is a major failure (e.g., we cannot provide the service at all, or it is significantly unfit for purpose), you may be entitled to:
- Cancel and receive a refund (potentially partial, accounting for services already received), or
- Compensation for the reduced value.
- For minor failures, we may offer to re-supply the service or provide compensation.
- Refunds under ACL will be processed promptly and in full where required (no deductions for use unless fair and reasonable).
If you believe a service does not meet consumer guarantees, please contact us first so we can resolve it.
6. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation

7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on our website or upon request. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
